Privacy Policy — Video Explainer

Video Explainer ("the app") helps you understand a video by creating a written explanation of what is said and shown in it. This policy explains, in plain words, what happens to your information when you use the app.

What the app handles

• Videos you choose or record. When you submit a video, it is sent to our server only to create the explanation, and to an AI processing provider (Anthropic) that generates the text. The video file is deleted from the server right after it is processed. We do not keep your videos and we never sell them.
• The text explanation that is produced may be stored briefly on the server so it can be shown back to you. On our free hosting this is temporary and is cleared when the server restarts.
• A password you enter to unlock the app. It is used only to control access and is not shared.

What we do NOT do

• No advertising, and no selling or sharing of your data for advertising.
• No analytics or location tracking.
• No accounts, and no collection of your name, phone number, or address.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13.

Your choices

Because videos are deleted after processing and no account is created, there is no stored personal profile to delete. If you have any question or want any stored text removed, contact us below.
